The Construction History Society of America, 2025 meeting on Construction History
Held at the University of Virginia School of Architecture in Charlottesville, Virginia, June 12-14, 2025
We invite researchers and practitioners from all areas of construction history to submit paper abstracts for the 2025 Meeting on Construction History, to be held in Charlottesville, Virginia. This event is hosted by the Construction History Society of America (CHSA) in collaboration with the University of Virginia School of Architecture and builds on the success of past CHSA meetings in Urbana-Champaign, IL (2023), Marietta, GA (2022), College Park, MD (2018), Austin, TX (2016), Minneapolis, MN (2014), Cambridge, MA (2012), Philadelphia, PA (2010), and Atlanta, GA (2008).
The Program Committee welcomes a wide range of topics related to construction history, including built infrastructure, materials, processes, and construction systems. While we encourage submissions spanning various eras and global contexts, we particularly welcome topics focused on the Americas, with an emphasis on the American South and Mid-Atlantic regions.
We look forward to your contributions and a dynamic exchange of ideas in Charlottesville!
